AMEB exams are formally assessed and recognised by schools, and in Western Australia, certain grades may contribute towards a student’s WACE results. AMEB offers a wide range of exam options, including Comprehensive exams, Piano for Leisure, Repertoire Only, and Rockschool, allowing students to follow classical or contemporary pathways. The Australian Guild of Music & Speech (AGMS) (https://www.agms.edu.au/)also offers graded exams for both children and adults. Students are typically ready to take exams within 18 months of learning. Each grade takes 12 months to learn.

AMEB exams are usually scheduled at the UWA Claremont campus, with the exact room and time provided after enrolment. In Perth, AGMS exams are organised locally. The local examiner is conveniently located around the corner from my home studio.
