About Robyn Wilson - Piano Teacher in Perth

I believe everyone can learn music and it's never too early or late to start. Backed by 26+ years of experience, my lessons are friendly, personalised, and designed to bring out each student’s best.

My favourite music motto is 'Music is the Window to the Soul.'

My Story

Music has always been a lifelong passion for me. I began teaching over 26 years ago and have since worked with hundreds of students across Innaloo, Scarborough, Doubleview, Karrinyup, Osborne Park, Lake Gwellup and nearby Perth suburbs.

As a qualified piano and theory teacher (CTMusA), Teaching Member of WAMTA with a valid Working With Children Check, I’m committed to professional, high-quality instruction that helps each student achieve their goals. Whether that’s playing for fun, performing confidently, or working towards AMEB and Rockschool examinations.

I’ve also spent more than ten years teaching as a peripatetic piano teacher at St Dominic’s Primary School and Yuluma Primary School, sharing music with young learners in a school setting. I have accompanied three primary school choirs at the Performing Arts Festivals throughout Perth, and for their various in-house school concerts.

My approach is structured yet supportive, combining strong foundations in theory and technique with a love for creativity and musical expression.

Personal Piano Teaching Achievements

My Piano Teaching Approach

I believe everyone can learn music — and everyone’s journey is unique.

My lessons are:

  • Structured (with clear foundations)

  • Personalised (tailored to goals and learning style)

  • Supportive (warm, patient, encouraging)

  • Musically rich (strong focus on theory, rhythm, reading, and expression)

  • Enjoyable (music should always bring joy)

Whether you want to play for pleasure or work toward exams, I’ll help you grow into a confident, independent musician.
